Data deletion

How to have the data Social Orbis holds about you removed, and how to check on a request.

What is removed

Removing a connected account deletes the access token we hold for it, the account identifier and display name the platform gave us, and any posts still queued to go out through that account. Nothing further is kept about the profile.

What is not, and why

The captions, images and schedules a business wrote in Social Orbis belong to that business, not to the social account they were sent through. Those are often different people — whoever holds the Instagram login is not necessarily whoever writes the posts. So a deletion request from a social profile does not erase a customer’s own work. If you want a business’s account and its content removed, that request has to come from the business, and you can make it at the address below.

Asking us directly

You can disconnect an account yourself at any time, from Social Orbis or from the app’s own settings on Instagram or Facebook — removing it there tells us, and we delete our copy. Otherwise, write to privacy@socialorbis.app and say which account is affected. We will confirm when it is done.
